BBB 26: Sol Vega, from BBB 4, joins new Veteran group; see news

BBB 26 premiered this Monday (12) with a structural novelty and a nostalgic return that promises to shake up the reality show. Former participant Sol Vega, who made her mark in the show’s fourth edition in 2004, is confirmed in the newly created Veteran group. This year of 2026, therefore, the house will feature not only the traditional Popcorn (anonymous) and Camarote (famous) groups, but also this third cast made up of faces already known to the public. The return of Sol, chosen by the public to enter the house 22 years ago, is one of this edition’s trump cards to revive memories and create new conflicts.
The selection for BBB 26, however, began even before the premiere. The Popcorn group was defined by popular vote from five Glass Houses, each with four candidates. In this way, the public elected one man and one woman from each house, totaling the ten members who entered confinement. Meanwhile, Globoplay subscribers have an enhanced experience, with access to 12 simultaneous cameras and a new feature in the BBB Mosaic that allows them to choose the audio from each camera individually.
Technical Novelties and Unprecedented Interaction
The show’s production also invested in more tools to generate entertainment. The BBB 26 house, responsible for iconic moments over the years, now features three Big Phones scattered around the common area. The major change, however, lies in the power given to the viewer: for the first time, the audience will be able to choose which device will ring and, thus, will have access to the message that the brother or sister will hear. This innovation promises to increase interaction and suspense within the game.
With the dynamic of the three groups established, the expectation is for complex alliances and renewed strategies. The presence of a veteran like Sol Vega, who knows the pressure of confinement, should add an extra layer of psychology to the game. In this way, BBB 26 arrives trying to balance nostalgia with technical innovations, promising one of the most interactive and unpredictable years in the history of the reality show.
