BBB 26 premieres with Sarah Andrade in the Veterans group; see what’s new

The influencer Sarah Andrade, one of the most memorable participants of BBB 21, is back to the country’s most famous reality show. This Monday, January 12, 2026, Big Brother Brasil 26 premiered with a major novelty in its cast: the Veterans group. Sarah, who is from Brasília and is 34 years old, joins this new team alongside other former participants, a significant change in the traditional format that promises to shake up the game. Her return is relevant because she was part of the iconic “G3” alongside Gil do Vigor and Juliette, being eliminated only in the ninth elimination round of her original season.
Meanwhile, the Brazilian audience watched the formation of the groups over the weekend. The Pipocas (Popcorns), anonymous candidates, were chosen by popular vote after going through the five Glass Houses spread across Brazil. Thus, each house elected one man and one woman, totaling ten participants in this category. Besides them, the Camarote (V.I.P.) group, with celebrities, is also present. However, the big surprise of this 2026 edition is indeed the return of the Veterans, who are expected to bring experience and already known strategies into the confinement.
What changes in the house and the broadcast in 2026?
Globo also invested in technical novelties for this year. Subscribers of Globoplay, for example, will have access to 12 camera signals with simultaneous transmission. Furthermore, the BBB Mosaic feature gains an unprecedented function: it is now possible not only to see several cameras at the same time but also to select the specific audio from each one of them. This way, the most hardcore fans can completely customize their viewing experience.
Responsible for some of the most tense and funny moments of the reality show, the Big Phone is also undergoing a revolution. In 2026, the house has three devices spread across the common area. The major change, however, lies in the power the audience will have: through voting, viewers will be able to choose which of the three big phones will ring and, consequently, which message or challenge the brother or sister will receive. This direct interactivity promises to bring fans even closer to the game, creating a new level of engagement with the season.
