ARC Raiders nerfs Trigger Nade and Kettle in new patch; see changes

ARC Raiders received a small but crucial balancing patch this Tuesday (13th). Developed by Embark Studios, the cooperative shooter game adjusted the power of two weapons considered problematic by the community: the Trigger Nade grenade and the Kettle weapon. This is the first relevant update of 2026 and arrives to try and balance the PvP matches, a mode that is present but is not the main focus of the experience. This way, players seeking a fairer and more dynamic combat should feel the immediate impact of these changes.
The adjustments were implemented via a server update, which did not require an additional download. Besides the nerfs, the development team took the opportunity to celebrate an impressive milestone: the game has sold nearly 12 million copies since its launch. As a thank you, all players who accessed the title until 10:59 PM (Brasília time) this Tuesday (13th) will receive an exclusive gift in their accounts.
What changed in the balancing and what is the gift?
The main focus of this update was to reduce the disproportionate advantage that certain items brought to player-versus-player combat. The Trigger Nade, for example, was considered too lethal in PvP encounters since the Cold Snap update. Meanwhile, the Kettle weapon was also proving to be overpowered, dominating many scenarios. With these adjustments, the developers hope to promote a greater variety of playstyles and equipment, encouraging raiders to experiment with new tactics.
Furthermore, as a result of the sales milestone, the celebration gift is a golden pickaxe (Golden Pickaxe). This cosmetic item will be automatically added to the inventory of all eligible players, at no cost. Therefore, if you played recently, it’s a good idea to check your account to claim the reward.
Although it is considered a small update, these fixes are vital for the long-term health of the game. Embark Studios has shown a constant commitment to community feedback, and this January 2026 patch reinforces that stance. Thus, fans can expect more adjustments and content throughout this year, keeping ARC Raiders fresh and competitive.
