Tojima: Episode 14 Brings Emotional Twist and Shocker’s Secrets

Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider delivered one of its most important chapters with episode 14, available in early 2026 on Crunchyroll. The plot, which follows Futaba Tojima, revolves around her struggle to protect her martial arts master, Tiger Master, from a yakuza assassin. However, the situation spirals completely out of control when the assailant reveals his true nature: he is not human, but a monster from the Shocker organization, more interested in recruiting her as a fighter than killing her. This brutal confrontation, therefore, serves as a catalyst for a series of personal revelations and world-building that change the course of the story.
Thanks to this traumatic experience, Futaba realizes, for the first time, that her siblings’ delusions about their grandparents’ death were not lies. Thus, she must face the fact that she has been wrong for years, blaming them unjustly. Despite this shock, her worldview does not completely crumble. While acknowledging her mistake in not believing them, she still considers the destructive actions of her brother, Ichiyo, against her social life unacceptable. The result is a pragmatic alliance against a greater enemy, even though the family hatred persists.
The Secrets of Shocker and the Price of Power
Beyond the personal drama, the episode significantly advances the universe’s lore. The conversations between the monsters Spider Man and Bat Man, combined with Yukarisu’s reaction to Futaba’s account, unveil crucial parts of Shocker’s operation. We discover that, far from the spotlight, the organization seeks world domination by converting humans into fighters, with different philosophies: Bat Man focuses on quantity, while Spider Man seeks quality by recruiting only the strongest. The most shocking information, however, comes from Yukarisu: fighters can be promoted to monsters, a coveted goal for all, raising doubts about the human origin of the villains themselves.
Although we didn’t get to see Tiger Master in action, the seed for a future epic clash has been planted. Spider Man will certainly try to recruit her again, ignoring that he will be challenging one of Japan’s greatest fighters, and not just her impulsive apprentice. Thus, episode 14 of Tojima Wants to Be a Kamen Rider serves a dual function: it resolves deep internal conflicts and expands the series’ lore organically, setting the stage for even greater conflicts in the remainder of the 2026 season.
