During Tokyo Game Show 2025, Square Enix announced that the highly anticipated collaboration event between Final Fantasy XIV and Monster Hunter Wilds will begin on October 7th. The best part of the news is that, according to the official Lodestone website, the collaboration will be a permanent addition to the game, not a limited-time event. Players will be able to enjoy a new quest, as well as Monster Hunter-themed gear, mounts, and minions.
How to Access the “The White Wanderer” Event
To start the collaboration quest, titled “The White Wanderer,” Final Fantasy XIV players will need to meet some important prerequisites: Reach level 100. Complete the main scenario quest (MSQ) of the “Dawntrail” expansion. Since the content is permanent, players can complete these requirements at their own pace without fear of missing the event.
Announcement of the Fan Festival 2026
Taking advantage of the TGS stage, Square Enix also revealed the schedule for the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2026, which will take place across three continents. The dates and locations are:
- North America – Anaheim, California: April 24-25, 2026
- Europe – Berlin, Germany: July 25-26, 2026
- Japan – Tokyo: October 31 to November 1, 2026
