Yūji Nakamura, from Rokudo’s Bad Girls, launches new manga in January 2026

Yūji Nakamura, the renowned author behind the success Rokudo’s Bad Girls, is about to debut a new manga. Titled Hanzō to Jūsan-nin no Kunoichi-tachi (Hanzo and the 13 Kunoichis), the work begins its serialization in Japan in issue number 7 of the magazine Weekly Shōnen Champion, with publication scheduled for January 15, 2026. Therefore, the author’s fans already have a good reason to celebrate the beginning of the year.
With the story centered on Hanzō, a lonely war orphan, the new series promises to bring many battles against strong and cute kunoichis. Thus, Nakamura returns to the action manga scene with a premise reminiscent of his previous works. Thanks to the success of Rokudo’s Bad Girls, which even received an anime adaptation in 2023, expectations for this new project are quite high among Brazilian readers.
Other news in Weekly Shōnen Champion
In addition to Nakamura’s launch, Weekly Shōnen Champion will have other important debuts in this January 2026. Meanwhile, the soccer manga Campioni, by Tatsuya Ara, has already begun its serialization at the end of 2025, maintaining the sports tradition in the magazine. Soon after, on January 22, the horror series Mashiro-kun debuts, supervised by the VTuber Nijisanji Mashiro Meme.
It is worth noting that the previous works of the involved authors have a strong digital presence. The localization company Orange Inc., for example, publishes English versions of titles such as Rokudo’s Bad Girls and Harigane Serve: Against All Odds on its emaqi platform. Thus, there is a good chance that Nakamura’s new work will also be made available to international fans at some point.
