Front Mission 3: Remake arrives in January with updated graphics and two stories

Front Mission 3: Remake finally has a confirmed release date for modern platforms. Forever Entertainment, in partnership with developer MegaPixel Studio, announced that the re-release of the classic tactical RPG will launch on January 30, 2026. This way, players on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam and GOG) will be able to relive the adventure. The title, which had already been released for Nintendo Switch in 2025, now reaches a broader audience with a suggested price of around R$ 190, considering the direct conversion from the international price of US$ 34.99.
The announcement is highly significant, as it involves the revitalization of a game beloved by mecha and strategy fans. With the return of Front Mission 3, a new generation will be able to experience the complex narrative that made the series famous. Therefore, the remake promises more than just redone graphics: it brings back turn-based tactical gameplay in a futuristic world dominated by nations and corporations vying for power using gigantic war robots called Wanzers.
A story with two faces
The major standout of Front Mission 3 has always been its branching narrative. Right at the beginning, the protagonist Kazuki Takemura must make a crucial choice with his friend Ryogo. This simple decision defines the entire course of the campaign, leading the player through one of two completely different plots. In one, Kazuki joins his sister, Alisa. In the other, he follows agent Emma Klamsky, who investigates a secret weapons project called M.I.D.A.S. Thus, replayability is one of the highlights, encouraging fans to explore both paths to understand the global conspiracy behind the conflicts.
Both narratives explore deep themes, such as loyalty, ethics in technology use, and family bonds, all while the player commands their squad in strategic battles. The remake arrives, therefore, not just as a visual update, but as an opportunity for Brazilian fans to revisit or discover a classic of the genre. With its release scheduled for the end of this January, the game is set to shake up the tactical RPG scene in Brazil, especially for those seeking experiences with narrative weight and impactful decisions.
