New Reincarnated as a Slime Movie Gains Cast and Original Songs

Brazilian fans of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime have hot news at the beginning of 2026. The production of the franchise’s second film, titled “Tears of the Blue Sea,” announced on Tuesday, January 6th, the addition of two new original characters to the cast and the artists responsible for the music featured in the work. The news comes as a warm-up for the premiere in Japan, which takes place on February 27th, while Crunchyroll has already secured worldwide theatrical screening rights.
This expansion of the Slime universe is relevant because it shows the ongoing strength of the franchise, which will also have a fourth season of the TV series premiering in April. Thus, fans can expect a year full of content starring Rimuru Tempest. The film’s plot takes place after the founding of the Tempest Federation, when Rimuru and his allies are invited for a vacation at a resort island, but a mysterious threat emerges to disrupt the peace.
Details about the New Cast and Soundtrack
The new members are portrayed by Hinatazaka46 idol group members Nao Kosaka and Kaho Fujishima, who will bring the priestesses Mio and Yori to life, respectively. Additionally, the soundtrack gains special prominence with three new tracks. Voice actress Saori Ōnishi, who portrays the character Yura, sings “Sōkoku” (Blue Moment). Meanwhile, the unit ARCANA PROJECT takes “Renainō” (Talent for Romance), and a collaboration between STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION and ASH, from ASH DA HERO, results in “Harmonics”.
Fans who wish to acquire these songs will be able to purchase the single, which also includes the theme song “Utopia” by TRUE, starting February 28th. Scheduled to arrive in Brazilian theaters on dates yet to be determined by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures, the film promises to bring quality animation from producer 8-Bit and an original story that expands the already known world. Therefore, 2026 is shaping up to be quite a year for lovers of isekai and this overpowered slime’s journey.
