Anime ‘I Became a Legend’ gets teaser, cast and premiere in April 2026

The anime I Became a Legend After My 10 Year-Long Last Stand has finally received an official teaser, revealing new cast members, production details and its premiere for April 2026. Scheduled to arrive in the second quarter of this year, the adaptation of the popular light novel promises to bring the epic story of Luck, the hero who single-handedly defended a border for a decade. Production is handled by studio Gekkō, under the direction of Hiroyuki Kanbe, known for Viper’s Creed, while the script is by Mitsutaka Hirota, from Edens Zero.
The teaser video, released last weekend, introduced two important voices for the plot. Actress M.A.O will voice Luccira, a demonic figure and last survivor of her village, while Yurie Kozakai will play Milca, a young orphan. The central premise, which has already captivated millions of readers, places the protagonist in an extreme situation: after ensuring the escape of his companions, he alone faces hordes of demons for ten long years. Thanks to a combination of luck, skill and ingenuity, he not only survives but becomes a legend, now facing the dilemma of reinventing himself in a world that sees him as a hero, veteran and rookie at the same time.
From Web Novel to Publishing Phenomenon
This story’s journey began on the web, back in 2018, on the famous site Shōsetsuka ni Narō. Due to its quick success, the work gained a light novel version in 2019 and a manga adaptation in the same year, published by Square Enix on the Manga UP! platform. As of last October, the manga already had 18 physical volumes, and the franchise as a whole surpasses the impressive mark of 4.25 million copies in circulation. This robust number explains the hype and expectation surrounding the animated version.
For Brazilian fans, access to the original material is also facilitated. Square Enix, in partnership with Comikey, already makes the manga available in English, allowing the audience to get ahead of the plot before the premiere. Thus, the arrival of the anime in April promises to be one of the most anticipated events of the season, consolidating in audiovisual a saga that has already won its place on the shelves and in the hearts of fantasy and action fans. So, get ready to follow the legend of Luck when it comes to life on screen.
