The series finale, scheduled for publication in the March issue of Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine, is set for February 9, 2026. Thus, the journey of the witch considered the most evil in the world, Elena Morgana, reaches its conclusion in this first month of the year. The announcement came through the February issue of the Japanese publication, ending a narrative that explored redemption amidst an epic conflict.
The story follows Elena, a powerful witch who, after centuries of war between humanity and the demon king’s army, sees her magic fail at the decisive moment. Swearing to return to wipe out humans once and for all, she meets Taro, a kind villager who shakes her convictions. As a result of this unlikely friendship, the most feared witch begins an unexpected journey to save those she once swore to destroy. Originally launched in August 2024, the work concludes with three compiled volumes already released, the most recent published in September of last year.
The Author’s Legacy and Publication Paths
Beyond the conclusion of his latest work, it is relevant to highlight Tonchi Kataoka’s trajectory in the manga market. The author already has another series published internationally, the four-volume manga How to Train Your Devil, licensed in English by Seven Seas Entertainment.
