Disney Announces Cast for Tangled Live-Action with Actors from Titans and Zombies

Tangled live-action has found its protagonists in early 2026, thanks to an official announcement from Disney on its social media. The company confirmed that actress Teagan Croft, known for the series Titans, will play Rapunzel, while Milo Manheim, star of the Zombies franchise, will be the charming thief Flynn Rider. Thus, the live-action adaptation of the 2010 animated classic begins to take shape, promising to revive the magic of the tale for a new generation of fans in Brazil and around the world.
The announcement was made in January 2026 and does not yet provide a specific release date for the film. However, the revelation is already generating great anticipation due to the immense success of the original animation. The plot, which adapts the Brothers Grimm tale, follows the fugitive Flynn Rider, who finds refuge in an isolated tower. There, he meets Rapunzel, a young woman with 21-meter-long golden hair, who dreams of leaving her confinement to see the floating lights. Thus, the two embark on an adventure full of dangers, including the villain Mother Gothel, who will do anything to keep the young woman trapped.
Who is Behind the Cameras
In addition to the main cast, the production also features experienced names behind the scenes. The direction will be handled by Michael Gracey, responsible for successes like The Greatest Showman. Meanwhile, the screenplay will be written by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who has worked on Thor: Love and Thunder. Thus, Disney brings together a solid team to lead this million-dollar project, which promises to be one of the studio’s major bets in the coming years.
There is still no forecast for the start of filming, but the confirmation of the cast is a crucial step. Thus, fans can expect more news throughout 2026, such as possible first images of the actors in costume. The adaptation of Tangled follows the wave of success of other Disney live-action films, such as Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin, aiming to enchant both those who grew up with the animation and younger audiences.
