Alan Cumming “Breaks” Pedro Pascal During Filming of Avengers: Doomsday

Alan Cumming, the notorious Nightcrawler from the X-Men film series, revealed in an interview on Jimmy Kimmel’s show this week that he injured Pedro Pascal during the filming of the highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday. The incident, which according to the Scottish actor forced Pascal to go home with a sore neck, occurred during the filming of a shared scene between them for the Marvel movie, scheduled for release only in December 2026. The event gains relevance for marking the beginning of the official integration of Fox’s mutants into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, a strategic move for the current phase of the franchise.
As a result of this unusual backstage encounter, Cumming joked saying “I broke Pedro”, generating buzz among fans. However, despite the statement, the actor was evasive about the details of the scene, denying that it was a fight sequence, which raises suspicions about possible protected spoilers. Because of this, he mentioned curious aspects such as his own long arms and a tail, typical elements of his mutant character, but stated that none of the accessories were in use at the time.
Context and Speculations About the Film
Meanwhile, rumors about Avengers: Doomsday only increase. Besides this peculiar incident, it is already speculated that the film may approach four hours in length, a generous time to develop its ambitious plot. Additionally, three trailers have already given clues about the storyline, with two of them focusing on the heroes’ children and the third reintroducing the iconic Fox’s X-Men into the MCU, as confirmed by Cumming. Thus, the appearance of Chris Evans as Steve Rogers and the return of Chris Hemsworth as Thor promise to further stir expectations.
So, with less than a year until the premiere, scheduled for December 18, 2026, the production remains shrouded in mystery. Although there are no concrete details of the plot, Pascal’s accident, even if minor, became a curious chapter behind the scenes of this colossal project. Therefore, Brazilian fans will have to eagerly wait to see how this epic integration and the scenes involving the stars will unfold on the big screen.
