Anime Easygoing Territory Defense Releases 3 Minutes Before Premiere in 2026

The anime adaptation of the light novel Easygoing Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord released the first three minutes of the opening episode this week, generating great anticipation among isekai fans. With its official premiere scheduled for January 7, 2026 on Amazon Prime Video in Japan, the production will be streamed globally by Crunchyroll shortly after, allowing the Brazilian audience to follow the series simultaneously. The story, which has already sold over 2.5 million copies, follows Van, a former Japanese office worker reincarnated as a noble in a fantasy world.
In the plot, Van awakens the ability of “Production Magic,” considered useless for combat by his family, leading to his exile to manage a small village. Thanks to this same magic and memories from his previous life, he promises to transform the place into the strongest fortified territory. The pre-released video offers a taste of the animation by studio NAZ and the voices of the main cast, further increasing curiosity about how this kingdom-building premise will be executed.
Cast and Crew Behind the Production
Additionally, the production features a talented team. The protagonist Van is voiced by Yumi Uchiyama, while his loyal maid Till is voiced by M.A.O. Mariya Ise, in turn, portrays Khamsin, a character whose life was saved by the protagonist. Directing is Tetsuya Tatamitani, known for Thermae Romae Novae, with scripts supervised by Yutaka Yasunaga, who worked on ERASED. Thus, the combination of an experienced voice cast with a solid creative team suggests a careful adaptation of the original source.
The anime also arrives with its soundtrack set. The opening, “Okirakuze~shon,” is handled by Rei Nakashima, and Nonoka Ōbuchi performs the ending theme “Make it.” Therefore, from animation to sound, all elements are aligned to deliver a complete experience to fans of the city-building and strategy genre, so popular in light novels.
