A Gearbox Entertainment officially revealed the new Vault Hunter coming to Borderlands 4 in its first major story pack, titled Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned. And, contrary to what the name suggests, the playable character is not Ellie, but a rookie named C4SH. A teaser of the character was released, offering a glimpse of his skill kit. Although details are scarce, the image hints at his possible Skill Trees and Action Skills, with a strong gunslinger aesthetic and an intriguing touch of necromancy.
What to Expect from the DLC and the New Character?
C4SH’s playstyle is still a mystery, but his dual-wield look and potential summoning abilities are already sparking speculation. To find out how he will really play, we’ll have to wait until the first quarter of 2026, when the story pack launches. Besides the new Vault Hunter, the Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned DLC will include: A new story with a dark cosmic horror theme. A new region on the planet Kairos. Side missions, Legendary items, skins, and much more. In the same launch window, Bounty Pack 2 will also be released, along with the introduction of Pearlescent rarity items, a classic of the franchise. Borderlands 4 is already available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 e PC. The version for Nintendo Switch 2, which was scheduled to launch next week, has been delayed.
