Crossed Hearts Announces GLAM BEAT! Imprint Focused on Yuri for 2026

The global publisher Crossed Hearts has just announced, in early January 2026, the creation of its new editorial imprint called GLAM BEAT!. Based in California, the company revealed that the main focus will be on narratives of the yuri genre, also known as girls love (GL), which explore emotional and romantic relationships between women. This move comes as a direct response to the growing demand for diverse and complex stories within the segment, representing the publisher’s long-term commitment to the genre.
The official announcement was made through a press release, and the publisher makes it clear that GLAM BEAT! is not a limited or experimental project. On the contrary, the imprint is born with the mission of embracing the full diversity of yuri, from light romances and coming-of-age narratives to psychological dramas and stories with adult themes in fantasy settings. In this way, the initiative promises to offer English-language readers – and with great potential for impact in the Brazilian market – a broad and consistent catalog.
Broad Expansion and First Confirmed Titles
In addition to the new imprint, Crossed Hearts also plans an aggressive expansion for the year 2026, with over 30 print releases forecasted. The company will diversify its portfolio, including not only romances but also action, fantasy, mystery, isekai, thriller, and horror titles. Simultaneously, the publisher confirmed its entry into the Chinese manhua and novels market, further expanding its offering of Asian content.
Among the already acquired licenses expected to hit the shelves are popular webtoons like Baroness Goes on Strike and Darling, Why Don’t We Divorce?, as well as the Korean novel The Abandoned Villainess Became A Zombie. The first manga in the catalog was also revealed: You’re Way Too Cheeky, Chigaya-kun! by Mai Ando, is scheduled to debut in May 2026. With this strategy, Crossed Hearts demonstrates that 2026 will be a year of consolidation and growth in the global comics and novels market.
