The End of Fate/strange Fake: Final Light Novel Volume Arrives Soon

The acclaimed light novel series Fate/strange Fake will reach its official conclusion in the Japanese summer of 2026. Publisher Kadokawa's Dengeki Bunko imprint confirmed that the 10th and final volume of Ryohgo Narita's work will be released between June and August of this year, bringing an end to one of the most complex storylines in the Type-Moon universe.

The decision to end the story now came after the author chose to write volumes nine and ten simultaneously. As a result, Narita was able to fine-tune the narrative's climax with precision, ensuring that all loose ends of the False Holy Grail War are tied up satisfactorily. This strategy allowed for greater fluidity between the final chapters, something long awaited by readers who have followed the saga since its beginning.

From an April Fools' Joke to Global Success

What is now a pillar of the Fate franchise originally started as an April Fools' Day joke in 2008. However, the success was so great that Ryohgo Narita—known for hits like Baccano! and Durarara!!—turned the project into a full series starting in 2015. Since then, the work has gained illustrations by Shizuki Morii and a manga adaptation running in parallel.

While waiting for the book, Brazilian fans can binge the anime adaptation on Crunchyroll. The series ended its most recent season last Saturday, March 28, 2026, displaying a 'To Be Continued' message after the final episode. Additionally, the Portuguese dub premiered in January 2026, making it easier for those who prefer to follow the story in their native language.
