Emily in Paris Renewed for Season 6 by Netflix

Emily in Paris has just secured its future in the City of Light. Netflix confirmed, in early January 2026, the renewal of the beloved series for a sixth season. This decision comes right after the resounding success of the fifth season, which achieved 26.8 million global views in just 11 days and topped the charts in 24 countries, including Brazil. The protagonist Emily Cooper, played by Lily Collins, will continue her professional and romantic adventures starting this year, keeping Paris as her main base, although new trips are on the radar of creator Darren Star.
The official announcement came through the platform’s Tudum portal, generating euphoria among fans. The confirmation is not a surprise, due to the impressive performance of the series, which also earned Star one of France’s highest civilian honors. With a premiere expected still in 2026, the production promises to explore the developments of the explosive ending of the previous season, where relationships were shaken and new invitations arose, such as the intriguing yacht trip in Greece.
What to Expect from the Future of Emily and Mindy?
The fifth season left several loose ends that the sixth will have the mission to tie up. While Emily rejected a quiet life in Italy with Marcello to maintain her career in Paris, her ex-boyfriend Gabriel made an invitation that could change everything. Additionally, the big highlight of the last chapter was Mindy’s engagement to Nicolas, a decision met with total skepticism by Alfie. Thus, the writers have plenty of material to create new conflicts and comedies next year.
Darren Star, the creator, has already hinted that he would love to take the audience to new destinations, although Paris remains the heart of the narrative. Therefore, it is possible that we will see Emily in other European landscapes, without ever leaving her beloved French home. The series has established itself as a true cultural phenomenon, combining fashion, humor, and relationship drama in a way that captivated millions, especially here in Brazil, where it always ranks in the Top 10.
