The developers of the popular fishing game on Roblox replaced the Christmas event with a completely new tropical island, full of secrets for players to explore. This expansion is relevant because, besides adding 37 new fish to the collection, including two of Secret rarity, it introduces a more complex mission system, capturing the community’s attention at the start of the year.
To explore Pirate Cove, however, anglers will need a boat, as there is no direct teleport to the location. The island is at the far end of the map and must be reached by sailing towards its marker. Once at the docks, players find a central area with NPCs, a forest, and, of course, many new fishing spots. The main goal is to complete the new region’s Index, with a focus on catching the Leviathan, the secret fish that has become the update’s grand trophy.
Missions, NPCs, and exclusive rewards
The heart of the new content beats with the non-playable characters and their missions. On the island, you will find the Carpenter and Captain Jones. The first, positioned near a locked door leading to a Mysterious Cave, asks the player to collect four sticks of TNT scattered around the island to blow it up. As for Captain Jones, he has a two-step task: catch a mutant Leviathan and bring a Dead Man’s Compass. Completing them unlocks the Black Pearl mission, which offers several valuable rewards.
For premium players, there is a new limited skin called Eternal Flower for sale in the game’s shop until January 25th. Furthermore, the update brought the Pirate Event Pass, a progression system where it is necessary to collect Doubloon coins to reach milestones and earn free items like normal coins, enchantment stones, skins, and boats. These special coins can be found in chests around the map or by completing Daily Missions.
