KonoSuba Confirms 4th Season and New Game in 2026; See Details

KonoSuba shook the anime fan community with a series of explosive announcements at the beginning of 2026. The franchise confirmed, during a special live broadcast, the production of its long-awaited fourth anime season. Furthermore, fans also received news of a new mobile and PC game, called Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku o! ~Kono Ai Subeki Machi ni Hanei o!. The original creator Natsume Akatsuki and illustrator Kurone Mishima are directly involved in the game project, which promises to bring the series’ chaotic comedy to a new media later this year. Thus, the celebration of the original animation’s tenth anniversary, which premiered in 2016, receives quite a gift for Brazilian fans.
As a result of this decade-long celebration, a series of special events is scheduled to liven up the otaku calendar. The main anniversary event will be on July 26th at PACIFICO YOKOHAMA in Japan, with the confirmed presence of the original voice cast. Meanwhile, those passionate about Kazuma’s saga and his group of clumsy adventurers can prepare to dive even deeper into the universe. Shortly after the announcements, details about an autumn exhibition and a brand-new audio drama complete the package of news, demonstrating that the franchise’s popularity remains high.
A Decade of Chaos and Laughter
The confirmation of the fourth season, which still does not have a defined release date, emerges as the cherry on top after a history of success. The first season of KonoSuba hit screens in January 2016, winning over the public with its unique humor and unforgettable characters. With a sequel already planned for 2017, the series continued with a film in 2019, a Megumin-focused spin-off in 2023, and the third season in 2024. Thanks to this, the legacy of Kazuma, Aqua, Megumin, and Darkness remains alive and stronger than ever, with all titles available for streaming in Brazil through Crunchyroll.
For fans who wish to relive the group’s antics, the production has prepared special content. Natsume Akatsuki wrote an exclusive story for an audio drama, titled “White Snow Fairy Tale: Hyōka no Kisetsu”. This production, which follows the quartet’s adventures throughout the four seasons, will be made available on YouTube this winter. Additionally, a special anniversary music box will hit the market on March 18th, serving as an unmissable collector’s item. Therefore, 2026 proves to be a year full of reasons to celebrate the wonderful (and problematic) world created by Akatsuki.
