Modder fixes transformation error in Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero’s Daima DLC

Modder EmiG84, a talented fan from the Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero community, did the work of the gods in January 2026 and fixed what many considered the biggest mistake of the second “Daima” DLC pack. Thanks to a creative mod, the Daima variant of Goku finally gained his iconic Super Saiyan transformations, something missing from the official version released by Bandai Namco. This fix comes as a relief for Brazilian players, who were frustrated by the absence of a central element of the Budokai Tenkaichi franchise, especially after a DLC that cost around R$ 40 and promised long-awaited characters.
The mod, already available through the creator’s Patreon, works by adding custom and spectacular animations for each of Goku’s power stages. Meanwhile, the game’s official solution kept Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Super Saiyan 3 Vegeta as separate characters without the ability to evolve during battle. In this way, EmiG84’s work not only fills a gap but also elevates the experience, with transformation sequences that faithfully recreate moments from the anime, including the epic moment when Goku turns Super Saiyan 4 and throws his shirt into the air.
Details and Impact of the Fan-Made Fix
The initiative, first highlighted by social media user SabKun2026, shows the power of the modding community to enhance games. Furthermore, the created animations are notably longer and more detailed than Sparking Zero’s standard transformations, which are short to maintain the pace of battles. However, this faithfulness to the anime raises an interesting question: do developers avoid overly long sequences precisely to not disrupt the game’s flow? Still, for hardcore fans, seeing Goku reach his full power is an experience worth having.
With this issue now resolved by the players themselves, the ball is in Bandai Namco’s court. The community is already signaling that the next desired step is a similar mod for the Daima-era Vegeta. Therefore, this story exemplifies how fan passion can complete a game’s vision, delivering the content players have always wanted. In the end, for a title as beloved as Sparking Zero, the details that honor the Dragon Ball mythology make all the difference.
