Gearbox Software released the Borderlands 4 patch 1.5 this March 2026, bringing extra breath to those who play on PC. The approximately 20GB update focuses on optimization and delivers an average 20% increase in FPS compared to the original release. In addition to the performance gain, the update introduces C4SH the Rogue, the new Vault Hunter via DLC that players have been waiting for since September.
Although the average gain is encouraging, some specific scenarios show even more impressive results. In native tests with an RTX 4080 at 1440p and settings on “Very High,” the performance jump reached 42.7%. For those using low settings at 1080p with DLSS, the gain was 26.6%. Even with these numbers, the developer stated that the work has not stopped, as the goal is to further refine the title’s stability.
