The acclaimed light novel series **Fate/strange Fake** will reach its official conclusion in the Japanese summer of 2026. The Dengeki Bunko imprint, from publisher Kadokawa, confirmed that the 10th and final volume of the work written by Ryohgo Narita will be released between June and August of this year, concluding one of the most complex plots in the Type-Moon universe.
The decision to end the story now occurred after the author chose to write volumes nine and ten simultaneously. Therefore, Narita was able to adjust the climax of the narrative with precision, ensuring all loose ends of the False Holy Grail War were tied up satisfactorily. This strategy allowed for greater fluidity between the final chapters, something long awaited by readers who have followed the saga since the beginning.
## From April Fools’ to Worldwide Success
What is now a pillar of the Fate franchise was originally born as an April Fools’ joke in 2008. However, the success was so great that Ryohgo Narita — known for hits like Baccano! and Durarara!! — turned the project into a full series starting in 2015. Since then, the work has gained illustrations by Shizuki Morii and a manga adaptation that runs in parallel.
While the book hasn’t arrived yet, Brazilian fans can binge-watch the anime adaptation on Crunchyroll. The series concluded its most recent season last Saturday, March 28th, displaying a “to be continued” message right after the final episode. Furthermore, the Portuguese dubbed version premiered in January 2026, making it easier for those who prefer to follow the story in our language.
