The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince Finally Arrives on PC in 2026

The interactive fable The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince, from publisher NIS America (NISA), finally leaves consoles and mobile devices to conquer PC gamers in this year of 2026. Originally released for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in 2019, the title now promises to reach an even larger audience through the main digital stores for computers. The arrival of the PC version is, therefore, an important milestone for Brazilian fans who were waiting for an opportunity to experience this unique narrative on a new platform.
The story, which has already captivated players around the world, puts players in the role of a wolf who, after accidentally injuring a prince and leaving him blind, transforms into a princess to guide him through a dangerous and mysterious forest. With gameplay that mixes puzzle and platform elements, the game stands out for its aesthetic reminiscent of a dark fairy tale book. Thus, the new PC version makes this emotional journey more accessible, especially in Brazil, where the computer gaming community is quite significant and values titles with strong narratives.
From Fan Idea to International Success
The path to the release of The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince is an interesting story in itself. The game’s conception began in 2017, when a web designer from Nippon Ichi Software submitted the idea at an internal company event. This event, called “Nippon Ichi Kikaku-sai,” has a tradition of choosing an employee’s proposal to become a real game. Thanks to this initiative, original projects like *htoL#NiQ -Hotaru no Nikki-* and *Yomawari: Night Alone* also saw the light of day previously.
However, the game’s journey doesn’t stop there. After its release in Japan in 2018, NISA brought the title to the West the following year, with a special physical edition exclusive to the North American market. This limited “Storybook Edition,” which included the game, a book, the soundtrack, and a collector’s box, was very well received by fans. Now, in 2026, the expansion to the PC platform opens a new chapter for this digital fable, allowing more players in Brazil and around the world to discover its melancholic magic and charming visuals without the need for a specific console.
