Hurry! Acclaimed Family Movie Leaves HBO Max in Just Days

If you are planning a movie night with the kids in early February 2026, you need to act fast, as the acclaimed Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile will leave the HBO Max catalog on February 3. The 2022 feature, which blends live-action with animation, became a quiet favorite with Brazilian audiences; however, its streaming license on the platform is about to expire.

The story follows a singing crocodile living hidden in an attic in New York who ends up befriending the new family that moves in. In addition, the production features original songs from the same team behind “The Greatest Showman,” delivering an infectious rhythm that earned 93% audience approval on Rotten Tomatoes. As a result, the film is considered one of the best light entertainment options for all ages currently available on streaming.

Is it worth watching before it is removed?

Although critics note that the script follows fairly safe and predictable formulas, the experience delivers exactly what it promises: exciting fun with no downsides. Thanks to the charisma of the digital lead and the musical performances, the film has become a safe harbor for parents. Despite not reaching the technical polish of productions like “Paddington,” it makes up for it with positive energy that holds attention from start to finish.

Where to find the movie after February 3

If you do not manage to watch the title on HBO Max in time, there are still viable alternatives in the local market. Meanwhile, the film remains available in the Disney+ and Hulu catalogs, platforms that have not issued removal notices so far. As a result, subscribers to these services still have guaranteed access, plus the option of digital rental on stores like Prime Video and Apple TV.
