Arknights: Endfield, the new gacha RPG from developer Hypergryph, will not be available on the Xbox Game Pass subscription service. The game, which expands the universe of the original 2019 title, officially launched for PC on January 22, 2026. The news directly affects Brazilian players who own an Xbox Series X|S console, as the title will also have no version for those platforms. The decision comes down to the game’s free-to-play model, which makes its inclusion in the subscription catalog less necessary.
As a result of this strategy, Brazilian fans will only be able to access Arknights: Endfield on personal computers, where the game is free, or on the rival PlayStation 5 console. Despite the frustration for Xbox owners, the PC gameplay promises to be accessible at no extra cost. In this way, Hypergryph is opting for a segmented launch, focusing on specific platforms while leaving a significant part of the console market aside, at least for now.
Uncertain future for Xbox players
At the moment, there is no indication that Arknights: Endfield will be added to Game Pass in the future. The logic behind it is clear: since the game is already free, its presence on Microsoft’s subscription service would bring no direct financial benefit to players. However, a remote possibility remains. Some free-to-play titles have been included in Game Pass in the past, usually offering exclusive in-game bonuses and rewards for subscribers. So the door is not fully closed, but the outlook for 2026 is not encouraging.
The situation creates a clear contrast, as PlayStation 5 users can already enjoy the game while the Xbox community is left with no date or confirmation. This platform exclusivity is a common market move, but one that always divides opinions. For Brazilian players, the immediate and most affordable alternative remains the PC, where the full Arknights: Endfield experience is available with no upfront investment.
