Dragonfruit Fox in Adopt Me: how to get the legendary fruit pet

The Adopt Me game, on the Roblox platform, has officially introduced the Dragonfruit Fox to Brazilian players. This legendary pet arrived as part of the Fresh Fruit Pets update, released on January 9, 2026, and has already become one of the community’s most coveted items. Its appeal lies precisely in its extreme rarity, which promises to challenge even the most dedicated collectors. To get it, you must face a very low-odds system or resort to risky trades with other players.

The process for getting the Pitaya Fox, as it is also called, is quite specific. It can only be hatched from the Crystal Egg, an egg exclusive to the Pet Releaser system. However, the chance of hatching a Dragonfruit Fox is only 0.42%, since the total rate for legendary pets is 5.9% split among 14 creatures. That is why players need to accumulate 4,500 Pet Releaser Points to buy a single egg, an amount that requires releasing dozens of common pets.

Because of the difficulty, many try their luck with direct trades, especially on official servers such as the game’s Discord. Even so, finding a partner willing to trade away such a rare pet can be as challenging as hatching the eggs. This combination of factors makes the Dragonfruit Fox a true digital trophy in the Adopt Me universe in early 2026.

From birth to the Neon version: the pet’s journey

Once obtained, the adventure with the Dragonfruit Fox is just beginning. The pet needs to be cared for to progress through six growth stages: from Newborn to Full Grown. At each new stage, it learns a different trick, making the raising experience more rewarding and interactive for the player. In addition, with a lot of effort, special versions can be created.

To get a Neon Pitaya Fox, four units of the legendary pet are required. The Mega Neon variant requires four Neons, that is, a total of sixteen Dragonfruit Foxes. Given its staggering rarity, obtaining these shiny versions is a long-term project within reach of very few players. In this way, the pet is not just a collectible item, but a symbol of extreme dedication within Adopt Me.
