Riot Games launched this Wednesday, April 1st, 2026, Patch 26.7 for League of Legends with changes that promise to calm tempers in ranked queues. The main highlight is the new full LP refund system for players harmed by inappropriate behaviors, such as disconnects (AFK) or trolling, fixing a long-standing community frustration. Furthermore, the update celebrates April Fools’ Day with thematic events and balance adjustments for various champions.
While ranked becomes fairer, Summoner’s Rift receives the “Chaos on the Rift” event in casual modes, bringing random mechanics and items that evolve in rarity. Another novelty is the Swain’s Fried Chicken Rewards Program, a free pass that offers exclusive cosmetics for those who play during the update period. - E – Full Tilt: Movement Speed: 15%, increased to 30%
- R – Magnet Storm: Damage: 120/200/280 (+110% bonus HP) ⇒ 150/200/350 (+110% bonus HP)

System and Mechanics Adjustments
The update also removed the gold penalty for supports who kill too many minions, as the current support item limitation prevents abuse of this practice. In Shyvana’s case, Riot changed how the ultimate’s acceleration interacts with her fury passive, in addition to fixing a critical bug where Sylas dealt double damage when stealing her Q ability.
