Fans of To Your Eternity (Fumetsu no Anata e) will need extra patience this February 2026. NHK confirmed that the broadcast of episode 17 of the third season has been postponed by three weeks due to coverage of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games. With the change, the episode set for February 7 is now expected to premiere on February 28.
This interruption happens because the Japanese broadcaster is prioritizing broadcasts of the competitions in Italy, which take place between February 6 and 22. Meanwhile, the anime production team used the announcement to release a new trailer and a previously unseen promotional image. The material focuses on the final phase of the Modern World arc, keeping audience interest alive during the forced hiatus.
Schedule and production changes
The third season of Yoshitoki Ōima’s work is planned for 22 episodes, two more than the previous installments. Due to this Olympics-related delay, the season finale should now happen on March 14, 2026. However, the voice cast and technical staff remain the same, with Studio Drive leading the animation in partnership with STUDIO MASSKET.
It is worth remembering that the anime already faced unexpected disruptions recently. In December 2025, earthquake coverage interrupted the original broadcast of episode 53, which only aired in full in January of this year. For this reason, the production team is used to adjusting the schedule as national and global events interfere with NHK’s programming.
To Your Eternity 3 technical staff
- Main Studio: Studio Drive
- Collaboration: STUDIO MASSKET
- Director: Sōta Yokote
- Chief Director: Kiyoko Sayama (director of season 2)
- Original Broadcaster: NHK (Japan)
The story of Fushi, the immortal being who evolves by learning from humanity, moves toward decisive moments in this final stretch. In addition, the original manga ended in June 2025, which ensures the anime adaptation has all the material needed to conclude the narrative faithfully to Ōima’s work.
