Streamer Lacari banned after leaking illegal content live on Twitch

Lacari, one of Twitch’s best-known streamers, saw his career collapse in seconds during a live broadcast last Thursday, January 22, 2026. The cause was a serious mistake: he accidentally showed on screen a text file containing a link that gave access to a folder with more than 1,700 files of illegal adult content. The streaming community reacted with outrage, and the platforms themselves acted fast. As a result, both Twitch and Kick handed the content creator permanent bans, ending a career of nearly a decade.

The incident, which quickly went viral on social media, happened when Lacari opened a Notepad file during the live stream. That file, however, contained a direct link to a folder on the EMLOAD service. The titles of the files inside that folder, according to viewers who accessed the link, included extremely disturbing and illegal terms, such as material involving minors and bestiality. What would have been a careless moment thus became one of the biggest streaming scandals of 2026, sparking tens of thousands of discussions on Reddit and X (formerly Twitter).

Who Lacari is and the chain reaction

Behind the nickname is Tramell Tennyson, a 36-year-old American born in Texas who made his name as a speedrunner of games such as Tekken and Dark Souls. With about 294,000 followers on Twitch at the start of this year, he was affiliated with the OTK group and the Mythic Talent agency, a respected figure in his niche. However, the explanation he gave after the leak — that it could have been a virus or malware — convinced no one. Moreover, during that same broadcast, he searched for Texas laws on animated adult content, a detail that only deepened the public’s distrust.

The controversy also reached his personal life. Quqco, his ex-girlfriend and also a streamer, spoke out publicly to distance herself from the case. In a post on X, she revealed that she had already suspected Lacari’s behavior during their relationship, which lasted from 2022 to 2024, but had found no evidence at the time. “Clearly, I was wrong,” she wrote, saying that the worst she had seen back then was NTR-genre hentai, but that he could have hidden more serious material. She thus made it clear that she wants no further association with her former partner.

With the bans already in effect and no formal statement from the streamer since, Lacari’s future in streaming looks over. The case stands as a stark warning about content creators’ responsibility during live broadcasts and about how quickly one mistake can destroy a reputation built over years. The community now awaits possible legal developments, as the nature of the leaked material may carry serious criminal implications.
